The Greek short film and its creators excelled once again at the Clermont-Ferrand International Festival, one of the most important short film festivals in the world! This year’s edition brought important distinctions for the Greek entries in the competition program, giving the most important Audience Prize to the film “Nothing Holier Than A Dolphin” by Isabella Margara and the Award for Outstanding Performance to Lena Papaligoura, lead of the already multi-awarded film “Airhostess-737″ by Thanasis Neofotistos. It should be noted that both films had their Greek premiere at the 45th International Short Drama Film Festival, strategically supported by EKOME.
Greece had a dynamic presence at the Festival Market (27/1-4/2), as the National Pavilion co-organized by EKOME, the Greek Film Centre and Drama International Short Film Festival, served thousands of professionals and visitors from all over the world.
Representatives of EKOME held meetings with audiovisual professionals, producers, distributors, and Festival representatives, with the main objective of supporting and highlighting the Greek short film, the networking of talented Greek creators and the promotion of the investment incentives (cash rebate, tax relief, Film Offices Network), that Greece offers in the field of audiovisual production.
The awards and the impactful Greek participation in this year’s program of Clermont-Ferrand, prove that the practical support of EKOME to the short film, and its strategic collaborations, establish the conditions for a solid Greek presence in the international cinema scene, where the professionalism and the Greek creators’ talent find the recognition deserved.
