The Hellenic Film and Audiovisual Center – Creative Greece announces the following:

From September 2023 to September 2024, 70 investment projects have been submitted and another 46 investment projects have been completed and refunded. In total, since 2019, the cash rebate has refunded 211 investment projects with the amount of €130 million, almost €50 million of which in the past year.

However, certain issues remain for the resolution of which, the Ministries of Culture, Economy and Finance and Digital Governance cooperated, securing the necessary resources for HFAC-Creative Greece.

Resources have been secured from the National Public Investment Program, that together with part of the National Strategic Reference Framework (NSRF) resources will cover the needs of investment plans that have applied under Law 4487/2017.

In addition, the required amount for the completion of the approvals and pre-approvals of the selective programs of periods B of 2023 and A of 2024, which have not been announced to date has been secured from the regular budget.

In this context, the platform for the submission of new applications for the CRGR Program of Law 5105/2024 will be operational at the beginning of the new year, in order for the majority of investment plans of Law 4487/2017 that have applied by 10/5/2024 to be processed.

In this way, the operation of the platform will henceforth ensure the stability, viability and robustness of a new, effective and reliable investment tool. We are working in this direction with the aim of making stable and increased resources available on an annual basis by 2025.

The support of the film, audiovisual and creative industries is a priority for the Greek government and HFAC-Creative Greece, in a way that guarantees transparency and legal certainty.
